The chairman’s responsibilities include:
- coordination of initiatives taken by the Team and the Team’s activities with the Deputy Director of the Center;
- supervision and coordination of the Team’s work, particularly in the areas of:
- coordination of the handling of the Student-Athlete Dual Career Program;
- coordination of activities regarding the MNiE National Academic Team program.
- collaboration with participants in the Student-Athlete Dual Career Program in solving problems related to participation in top-level sports, education at the university and personal life.

The team’s responsibilities include:
- working with participants in the Student-Athlete Dual Career Program to address issues related to participation in sports at the highest level, education at the university and personal life, in particular:
- constant personal contact with student athletes to diagnose the needs and problems arising from combining a sports career with study and personal life contact and coordination with coaches to have a complete picture of the course of a sports career and its correlation with education at the university;
- constant contact with faculty members (deans’ offices, student-athletes’ teaching supervisors, lecturers) to keep abreast of student-athletes’ teaching progress, solve current problems related to combining training with education, keep abreast of departmental academic events and possible schedule changes;
- assistance in accessing psychological support.
- creating an offer for the personal development of student-athletes in terms of support for the transfer of skills acquired in sports into general life competencies, in particular through training programs, tutoring, coaching, mentoring;
- operation of the Student-Athlete Dual Career Program:
- acting as advisors to student-athletes, i.e., providing guidance and, if necessary, individually handling student-athletes’ affairs on the line between the student-athlete’s supervisor, course instructor, deans of faculties;
- administrative support of the Program, related to the preparation of decisions under the Program regulations (admissions, extensions, exclusion from participation) and the Study Regulations (individual study programs, sports leave);
- providing substantive support for dual-career applicants to the University;
- keeping abreast of sports and education regulations: understanding the regulatory requirements for concurrent sports and education. In some cases, this may require
some paperwork.
- administrative support for the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s National Academic Representation program, including:
- diagnosing the needs of participants in relation to the use of additional teaching hours;
- helping to establish an effective teaching schedule on the student-lecturer axis, bearing in mind the considerations of high-level sports training
level and the didactic process; - keeping records of the Narodowa Reprezentacja Akademicka (National Academic Representation) program in accordance with the guidelines of the agreement with the Ministry of Education and preparing documentation for settlement with the Ministry of Education;
- preparation of documents resulting from the assignment of additional teaching assignments, preparation of settlements of these assignments for the University.
- conducting promotional activities:
- conducting the promotion of the dual career Program in the social environment of the University, in particular, by presenting the assumptions of the Program in sports clubs of the Kuyavia and Pomerania region and the nearest neighboring provinces;
- promoting sports at the University, in particular through:
- monitoring the performance of participants in the Dual Career Program, preparing materials and distributing information in NCU media;
- promotion of sports activities, results of AZS UMK Torun academic sports teams in league games;
- promoting the idea of student sports, student sports sections, the results of UMK students in the Academic Championships of Poland;
- promotion of the NCU wellness program;
- activities aimed at the academic community in connection with the development of the Copernicada Interdepartmental Tournament;
- information about other sports and recreational initiatives related to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle at the University.
- promotion of NCU through sports, in particular by:
- disseminating information about the University’s offerings through the information channels of student-athletes and cooperating sports clubs;
- disseminating information about the games and sports results of AZS UMK Toruń academic sports teams in league competitions;
- disseminating information about the games and results of student sports, student sports sections, the results achieved by NCU students at the Academic Championships of Poland;
- dissemination of information about sports, recreational initiatives, related to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle at the university.
- preparing and proposing initiatives, activities, innovations related to the development of UCS in the sphere of organizing sports projects and programs aimed at the academic community, promoting UMK as a brand of academic sports, disseminating good practices and programs aimed at improving the physical and mental well-being of the academic community, raising external funds, maintaining good relations and cooperation with the external environment.
