The chairman’s responsibilities include:
- coordination of activities in the implementation of the University’s Policy for the Development of Academic Physical Activity, with particular emphasis on sports sections, competition in provincial and national academic championships;
- cooperation with guardians and coaches of sports sections, including planning of competitions in provincial and national academic championships;
- cooperation with guardians and coaches of sports sections in the sphere of selecting the University’s national teams that will score in provincial and national academic championships;
- formal and administrative handling of athletes’ entries to provincial and national academic championships, including the necessary cooperation with the Akademicki Związek Sportowy (Academic Sports Association);
- coordination of the activities of USC staff in the preparation of the sports sphere during the organization of mass events and competition in academic sports, with particular emphasis on Copernicada.

The tasks of the Team include:
- implementation of the Policy for the development of academic physical activity of the University, in the field of academic sports, with particular emphasis on sports sections, competition in provincial and national academic championships;
- development of the offer for the general undertaking of physical activity by the academic community within the framework of sports sections and individual and organized physical activity;
- conducting sports sections in a way that allows competition and scoring at provincial and national academic championships;
- creating an offer that allows the integration of the academic community through recreation and sports, including, the organization and development of mass events and competition in academic sports, with particular emphasis on the Copernicada Interdepartmental Olympiad;
- promotion of academic sports at the University.
