Katarzyna Zillmann continues to be the best. On 15th September 2018, a rower from the Nicolaus Copernicus University won the gold medal in the women’s quadruple sculls during the World Championships organized in Bulgarian Plovdiv.

Katarzyna Zillmann stood on the highest podium with Maria Springwald, Marta Wieliczko and Agnieszka Kobus-Zawojska. The Polish rowers presented a very high level from the very first start. In the semi-finals, the Polish crew declassed others, including Germans. The finals were even more impressive: the Polish sportswomen definitely led from the start to the finish line, obtaining the time 6: 08.96, and overtaking (again) by almost 3 seconds, German and Dutch rowers. China took the fourth place.

This is another triumph of the NCU student of Environmental Protection this year. Katarzyna returned with the gold medal from the European Championships in Glasgow only a month ago. The rowers are consistently climbing up! A year ago they won silver at the World Championships in Sarasota, and in 2017 during the European Championships they took the fourth place. It is worth noting that the rowers have been training in this line-up for merely the second season.
