Karolina Karasiewicz - bronze medalist of the European Games in Minsk
The bronze medal of the European Games was won by a track cycling team composed of Katarzyna Pawłowska, Nikol Płosaj, Justyna Kaczkowska and Karolina Karasiewicz, who studies Internal Security at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
Mirosław Ziętarski - European Champion, Zillmann’s Crew in 4th place
Five Polish crews competed in the finals of the European Rowing Championships held in Luzern on Sunday (02/06/2019). In the two crews there were students-athletes from our University: Katarzyna Zillmann and Mirosław Ziętarski. Mirosław Ziętarski, the NCU AZS Toruń contestant, together with Fabian Barański won the gold medal of the championships.
Polish Boxing Champion!
Aneta Rygielska became the Polish Boxing Champion during the tournament, which took place on March 27-30, 2019 in Grudziądz. The representative of the Nicolaus Copernicus University competed in the weight category of 60 kg. There were ten boxers in her category.
Awarding ceremony of NCU AZS volleyball players
NCU AZS volleyball players and students of the Nicolaus Copernicus University received bronze medals in the 3rd league of the Polish Volleyball Federation. The ceremony took place on April 2nd, 2019 at the University Sports Center.
Adrian Brzezinski's silver medal in the Indoor Polish Championships!
Adrian Brzeziński - a student of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and a participant of the Dual Career Program, won a silver medal in a distance of 200 m during the 63rd Indoor Polish Championships. The competition took place on 16-17 February 2019 at the Arena Toruń sports arena.
Successes at the 49th Copernican Tournament for the NCU Rector's Cup
The Copernican Tournament for the NCU Rector's Cup took place in Toruń on 8-10 March 2019. During the tournament five teams of both women and men competed. Four teams played in the masters tournament. For the first time in almost 50-year long history of the tournament, the prize for the best player, the so-called MVP, was awarded. The patron of the award is Henryk Jurkiewicz - initiator of the first edition of the Tournament, launched in 1969.
Katarzyna Zillmann is the World Champion!
Katarzyna Zillmann continues to be the best. On 15th September 2018, a rower from the Nicolaus Copernicus University won the gold medal in the women’s quadruple sculls during the World Championships organized in Bulgarian Plovdiv.

Katarzyna Zillmann - a student at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, won the gold medal in the women's quadruple sculls at the European Championships organized in Glasgow.
Our rowers on the podium
The NCU rowers Katarzyna Zillman and Mirosław Ziętarski stood on the podium of the III World Cup, which took place on July 13th-15th in Lucerne (Switzerland).
"Olympic" competition
The rowers from the Nicolaus Copernicus University did a great job in the 50th Head of the Charles Regatta (18th-19th October) just under the walls of Harvard University. They are the first Polish crew to have competed in that prestigious race.
From Toruń to Harvard
It was the first time the Polish crew was competing in the prestigious Head Of The Charles River Regatta (HOCR) just under the walls of Harvard University on 18th-19th October 2014. Poland was represented by the rowers from the Nicolaus Copernicus University.
