Recruitment
On the basis of the Regulations, students of the University studying full-time and part-time Bachelor, Master and Master degree programmes may apply for eligibility for the Programme.
Students of the University are eligible to apply for the Program
- members of sports clubs affiliated with Polish sports associations, in accordance with the current list of Polish sports associations, announced by the Minister responsible for sports, as of the date of commencement of recruitment;
- or University students affiliated with foreign sports associations;
having:
- an international master sports class;
- master class in sports;
- first sports class;
- outstanding sporting achievement in the case of sports associations that do not award sporting classes.
FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS
The documents must be submitted for students admitted to the first year of study to the University Recruitment Committee together with the admission documents.
The following documents must be submitted to prove that you meet the criteria set out in the Regulations:
- Application for admission to the Programme*;
- Confirmation of sports club membership*;
- one of the following certificates**:
- a certificate from a Polish sports association specifying the type of sports class and the candidate’s sports achievements that are the basis for the award of the sports class;
- a certificate from a Polish sports association stating the candidate’s high level of sportsmanship and a list of the candidate’s sports achievements for Polish sports associations that do not award sports grades;
- a certificate from a foreign sports association specifying the candidate’s sports achievements or the type of sports class and the candidate’s sports achievements on the basis of which the sports class was awarded;
- a declaration by the candidate and the sports club that, if accepted into the Programme, the participant will represent the University in competitions and academic leagues at the national and international level, in particular during competitions organised by the Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU, International University Sports Federation) European University Sports Association (EUSA); Academic Sports Association (AZS)*;
- sports work schedule*.
* – the documents to be completed and signed are the Annexes to the Regulations – PDF; DOC; ODT (polish version);
** – certificates must be obtained from the Polish Sports Association concerned for the discipline. The certificate must be submitted in original.
Step-by-step:
- ask the coach, secretary or president of your club to help you obtain a certificate of the applicant’s current sports class or high sports level with a list of sports achievements;
- download the appendices to the Regulations in one of the formats – PDF; DOC; ODT (polish version);
- fill in the application form and sign – Attachment 1 (pages 1 and 2);
- complete or ask the club office to complete a confirmation of sports club membership – Attachment 2. Ensure that the confirmation is stamped and signed;
- complete the first part of the participant’s declaration and sign it – Attachment 3;
- ask at the club office to complete the second part of the participant’s declaration – Attachment 3. Ensure that the declaration is stamped and signed;
- prepare a sports work plan – at least for October and November – Attachment 4;
- attach the documents prepared in this way to the documents for the Recruitment Committee at the Nicolaus Copernicus University and send them to the Committee’s address – Recruitment for majors step by step. or deliver them directly to the University Sports Centre

UPPER YEAR STUDENTS
Documents must be submitted in the case of upper year students to the University Sports Centre by 15 September – applies to student-athletes applying for the programme for the first time.
In the case of Participants, by the end of June they must confirm their entitlement to participate in the programme by presenting to the UCS Director one of the certificates specified in paragraph 4(2) of the Regulations.
